ATHENA, RYAN, WILL, and EMILY are four childhood best friends who have remained close from middle school all the way to the present day. They previously journeyed together on ERIE ROUTE NINE in 2023. Each of them is excited about this new trip for different reasons:
"I want to see the stars cast across the sky. I've never properly seen them before."
"I'm very excited to drive Athena insane by doing bad Marge Simpson impersonations for 6 hours straight. She cannot escape. My foot will be flooring the gas..."
"I am planning to kill William Ervin four miles north of the Montana-Wyoming border. By the time you see this, it will be too late to stop me. This is my confession, admissible in a court of law."
"I'm excited to share my favorite spots in the Four Corners region with my best friends. None of them have ever been, and it's one of my favorite parts of the country for natural beauty."
